EVALENA B. FLOURNOY
Evalena Barbara Flournoy is a highly experienced and accomplished Executive Director of the Flournoy Cares Foundation, a non-profit family foundation. A retired educator and mother of six adult children with five grandchildren, she holds a Master’s degree in Education and Theology. With over 30 years of experience in educating children and developing curricula, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities as an entrepreneur, pastor, teacher, visionary, and community leader.
Among her many accomplishments, she has been nominated twice for Who’s Who Among American Educators, Teacher of the Year, and recognized for her Outstanding Innovative Programs for Young Children and Outstanding Women Leaders in the Community. She was also awarded the Middle Georgia Gospel Choice Award for Outstanding Church Ministries in Middle Georgia.
Her experience managing both for-profit and non-profit organizations emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and collaboration. This has served as leverage for developing effective programs that cater to the needs of the community. She encourages others to think outside the box and dream big, making her a visionary leader.
Her current mission is to promote scholarships and initiatives for the Flournoy Cares Foundation, inspire and motivate the next generation of young adults to make a difference in their communities and become world changers. Ms. Flournoy’s accomplishments and commitment to making a positive impact on the world continue to inspire her family and others. She is a role model to many, and her faith in God is the cornerstone of her success and achievements.
