OUR INITIATIVES
The Flournoy Cares Foundation believes in the importance of family and building relationships. We offer three major initiatives for families to participate in actively.
Father & Son's Biggest Catch Event is a great opportunity for fathers and sons to connect and spend quality time together. It provides the encouragement needed to build a strong bond in manhood. The event includes a fishing contest, delicious food, and other enjoyable activities at Evergreen Getaways at Gray, estates owned by The Flournoy Family.

The Mother & Daughter’s Brunch provides a unique and cherished setting for spending quality time together and engaging in heartfelt conversations. During this special event, mothers and daughters can express their unwavering love and support for one another while participating in team competitions, games, photogenic moments, and other exciting activities. Also, this occasion will serve as an opportunity to create lasting memories and meaningful traditions and as a time for mothers to impart wisdom and guidance to their daughters as they journey toward becoming the remarkable women they are destined to be.

Our Cover with Love Seniors Christmas Bag initiative makes the Christmas season a little brighter for seniors in the community. We provide seniors with much-needed personal care items, such as Warm Buddy jackets, scarves, gloves, and hats. In 2023, 75 seniors received Cover with Love Christmas Gift Bags with expressions of gratitude and appreciation. The success of this initiative has led to its expansion, with plans to reach 100 recipients in 2024.
At Flournoy Cares Foundation, Inc. (FCF), we are dedicated to uplifting our community through various programs and initiatives that bring families together. In addition, we provide Merit Awards and Need-Based Grants to high school seniors who will be attending post-secondary education. These awards and grants will assist them with educational expenses and support their academic journey while positively impacting their community. In 2023, FCF provided $57,000 in Merit/Need-Based Hardship awards and grants. This year, we proudly announce that we will award nearly $70,000.
